ACCREDITATION & SAFETY

Fault finding, corrections, and certificates of compliance.

  • Fault finding means the testing of the operation of electrical equipment to determine if that electrical equipment is safe and working correctly.
  • A Certificate of Compliance (COC) is a document that verifies that the electrical installations such as the plugs, lights, distribution board, geyser, and wiring in a home comply with the legislated requirements as detailed in the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

We can assist you with all of your accreditation and safety needs. Our electricians are highly qualified in assisting you with these safety regulations. We check everything on our criteria list to ensure all the safety regulations are met.

UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply)

When incoming utility power drops below or surges above safe voltage levels, the UPS switches to DC battery power and then inverts it to AC power to run connected equipment.

The electrical installation does not provide any instant protection from a momentary power interruption, however, could be used to provide uninterrupted power to equipment for 1 – 20 minutes until a generator can be turned on. Integrated systems that have UPS and standby generator components are often referred to as emergency power systems.

The uninterruptible power supply ( UPS ) is the linchpin of the critical energy system, providing battery backup and power conditioning that increases availability and system performance.

DATA CABLING

Data Cabling is a method of connecting multiple devices. In its simplest definition, data or network cabling involves multiple devices within an IT network being connected by cables.

Data cabling is used is a method of connecting multiple devices e.g PCs, Printers, CCTV cameras, and servers within an IT network. There are essentially two types of data cable, copper and fiber, within these two types of cable there are different grades which ultimately result in different standards. There are three main types of data cables; Twisted Pair, Coaxial Cable, and Fiber Optic.

What is the difference between data cable and power cable?
Data cables are used to provide signals (or data) to a machine such as a PC or printer. A power cord will provide electricity to that machine. There are essentially two types of data cable, copper and fibre, within these two types of cable there are different grades which ultimately result in different standards.

SECURITY SYSTEMS

Alarms, Intercoms, CCTV, Gate Automation, Electric Fencing.

  • The average alarm system is estimated to consume around 5.9 W.
  • Intercoms are installed at the entrance of a building, an intercom system (also called a base station) includes a microphone, a speaker, and occasionally a camera. The base station captures audio and video and transmits them to substations.
  • CCTV (closed-circuit television) is a TV system in which signals are not publicly distributed but are monitored, primarily for surveillance and security purposes.
  • Automatic gates are used to control access into a secured area.
  • An electric fence is a barrier that uses electric shocks to deter people or animals from crossing a boundary.

PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEM

Photovoltaic panels are installed for the conversion of thermal energy into electricity, while solar panels convert solar radiation into heat.

Here are our top 10 reasons to go Solar:

  1. Reduce your electric bills.
  2. Earn a great return on your investment.
  3. Protect against rising energy costs.
  4. Increase your property value.
  5. Boost South Africa’s energy independence.
  6. Create jobs and help your local economy.
  7. Protect the environment
  8. Build your brand, and demonstrate your commitment to sustainability.
  9. Increase employee morale.
  10. Stay competitive.

PANEL BUILDING.

Installation of solar panels in homes helps in combating the harmful emissions of greenhouse gases and thus helps reduce global warming. Solar panels do not lead to any form of pollution and are clean. They also decrease our reliance on fossil fuels (which are limited) and traditional power sources.

Solar panels are made of a multitude of solar cells, which have the ability to convert radiant energy from the sun to electrical energy. The conversion of solar energy to electrical energy is known as the photovoltaic effect.

Most solar panels are made of silicon, which is the main component of natural beach sand. Silicon is abundantly available, making it the second most available element on Earth.

INSTALLATIONS OF VARIABLE SPEED DRIVES.

The basic function of a variable speed drive (VSD) is to control the flow of energy from the mains to the process.Power from the electrical supply goes into a drive and the drive then regulates the power that is fed to the motor.

Motor systems fitted with VSDs can bring other benefits, including:

  • reduced maximum power demand
  • reduced maximum power demand
    reduced stress on system components.
  • reduced stress on system components
accurate control of pressure, flow and temperature
improved safety and amenity, through reduced heat and noise levels
integration of VSD control with building management systems (BMS)

HOME AUTOMATION SYSTEMS.

Home automation or domotics is building automation for a home, called a smart home or smart house. A home automation system will monitor and/or control home attributes such as lighting, climate, entertainment systems, and appliances. It may also include home security such as access control and alarm systems.

Home Automation is creating new automation technologies for houses that will make them smart using internet-based technologies. These homes/houses that use home automation technologies are smart homes. This field of home automation is fastly emerging in technology making homes safer and better places to live.

Access control and security devices include security cameras, smart locks, and motion sensors. Appliances: Almost any appliance could become a part of your home automation system in the next few years. smart refrigerators, washing machines, dishwashers, and ovens already exist.

WIRING FLOCCULANT, FILTRATIONS, ETC.

We can assist you with the wiring of flocculant, filtration, screening, thickening, and equipment plants. The wire and cable as the transmission medium of the power system are like the blood vessels of the human body; the wire and cable play the role of the information system as the nerves of the human body.

Our electricians are very precise when it comes to the wiring of any equipment. Our electricians are well equipt to work with the wiring of such equipment and adhere to strict safety regulations keeping the safety of the equipment in mind. Our electricians will advise you of the best way possible to proceed with the wiring of such equipment when busy with the wiring process.
